Baby photos, part 1
Sorry it took so long... Things have been crazy! But here's some photos from right after the birth. Tomorrow I'll post photos of Jadzia from the following days (she looks prettier in those).
We didn't want to know the sex of the baby. So we asked them to put the baby up on Yoli's belly and let us see for ourselves. And that's what they did. The baby came out, and they put her right up onto Yoli's belly. This photo is from moments after the birth. Cutting the cord was pretty cool. I've been asked if it was gross, and the answer is that it really wasn't. No blood or anything.
As the doctor and nurses finished working on Yoli, other nurses took the baby and put her under the warmer to examine her and weigh her, etc. I was dispatched to take photos.
Jadzia's beautiful face. Of course she's a brand new newborn, so the face is a bit slimey. See any features from me or Yoli?
Check out the hair on her shoulders. Jadzia is HAIRY! But the body hair is temporary and will disappear in a few months.
