Today Uncle Raymond drove us northwest from Finedon up to the seaside town of Hunstanton. I was excited to see the coast when he had offered to take us. The sea is a powerful image in Tolkien’s mythology, along with the calls of the gulls.
The day was cool and windy and the tide was out, so we didn’t dip our toes in the water. But we did enjoy walking around, visiting some shops, and eating fish and chips.
On our way back home, we stopped by a special lavender gift shop. It had a big children’s farm, lovely herb gardens, a restaurant and more.
